After settling in Damascus, Rasha found a job with IOCC helping other displaced Syrians find safe shelter, access to food, clothing, water, and healthcare; “the job gave me purpose,” she said.

An avid runner for years, Dean Stambolis was training for the 5K in the Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend. He’d just retired, and in the run-up to his race, Dean learned that he could team up with us through DIY for IOCC and put some power behind his passion for running.
