IOCC Jordan has been working to develop educational activities for adolescents and children around nutrition. Through a network of community-based organizations, IOCC held awareness sessions across four of Jordan’s governorates (Amman, Irbid, Mafraq, and Zarqa) with high populations of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians. IOCC nutrition staff led sessions for both men and women. In addition, IOCC partnered with Jordan’s National Center for Culture and Arts to stage theatrical plays and recreational activities for adolescents and children, sharing key messages about prevention of malnutrition and healthy diets. In total, activities in 2016 and 2017 reached more than 3,000 people.
