10 Ways to Fundraise for IOCC

Are you motivated by helping others in need? Do you ever wonder what one person can do to change the world? Then we need YOU!

Our DIY (do-it-yourself) platform allows you to tie your fundraising efforts to fun activities. Here are 10 ideas to get you started.

Bowl-a-Thon
Great for all ages and for church groups. Form teams, get pledges for pins, and bowl the night away!
Car Wash
This tried-and-true fundraiser is a natural choice during warmer weather since groups of any age and size can run a car wash. Schedule one at your church or a local gas station.
IOCC Sunday
Plan a special event in your parish to celebrate IOCC Sunday, which takes place annually on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Resources are available to help you to make this a deeply moving and impactful experience.
Dedicate Your Birthday
Run a race, climb a mountain, swim a lake, or walk around your local mall! These miles matter, even more, when you devote them to helping vulnerable families globally.
Pan-Orthodox Get-Together
Host a special event in your local area to celebrate the good work IOCC has accomplished. Organize a local Pan-Orthodox committee and invite all of the local churches to attend.
Bake Sale
Brush up your cooking skills for a bake sale during coffee hour. Set up an IOCC information table, and give out IOCC materials with each purchase and give your customers both knowledge and nourishment!
Ice Cream Social
Nothing beats ice cream on a hot day, so why not turn it into a way to raise money? Make sure to buy plenty of napkins, bowls, and spoons, too.
Lemonade Stand
Put an adult spin on this classic childhood money-maker and turn this fun activity into a chance to help others. Be sure to set up your stand somewhere with heavy foot traffic!
Fun Run/Walk
Get moving for a cause! Host a walk or run at your local park, school, or church. Create a team or do it alone. Either way, when you dedicate your miles, others win!
Dedicate Your Wedding
Celebrate your upcoming marriage by asking guests to donate to IOCC in lieu of gifts. Create a personal fundraising page with your wedding story and a brief note about why helping others is important to you.

We’re here to support you every step of the way! Visit iocc.org/diy or contact our Outreach team to get started today.
