THE EVENT

Race To Respond will cover 3,500 miles in 12 states over a 25 day period.*

The Race begins August 3, 2002 preceded by an opening ceremony in New York City. The planned race route winds through northern and central portions of the U.S. with stops in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Chicago and Denver. The closing celebration will take place in San Francisco.

The cycle team will average over 130 miles and 12 hours of saddle time daily. A typical day will begin at 5am with a breakfast briefing and finish at 8pm with dinner and a debriefing.
