Path to Pascha – A Lenten Journey Through Music
St. George Greek Orthodox Church
Bethesda, MD
April 10, 2011

The IOCC committee of Washington, DC hosted the 1st annual Path to Pascha event to celebrate this Holy time in the Orthodox tradition. Approximately 60 guests attended the event, which began with generously donated food and wine and a brief introduction of Byzantine chant by DC committee member, Dimos Katsis. The Byzantine Choir of Washington, DC enchanted guests with sacred hymns followed by beautifully choreographed songs by Slaveya, an all women's chorale group singing traditional Balkan music. The event concluded with an update of IOCC's relief efforts in Japan and attendees made generous contributions for IOCC to continue their work there.
