Nearly 100 people gathered at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church for the Orthodox Taste of Baltimore on November 13, 2006 to raise money for IOCC. Area parishes contributed ethnic savory and sweet food for sampling and local wine stores donated a variety of wines. Country tables were displayed around the hall which featured IOCC programs throughout the world. Various silent auction items were available for bid, including an official NFL Baltimore Ravens football signed by several players and an autographed Cal Ripken picture.

The master of ceremonies for the evening, Michael Tsakalos, spoke on how IOCC accomplishes what St. John Chrysostom (whose feast day was the same day) preached about in many of his sermons — helping those less fortunate. Daniel Christopulos, IOCC Director of Development, eloquently presented on current IOCC programs and urged support for this organization. Over $13,000 was raised.
